Easy day hike with little elevation change.
Location: near Gallatin River, turn on the Taylor Fork Rd between mileposts 33 and 34 on Hwy 191.
Lake is shallow and a bit scummy, but a haven for waterfowl.
A day with both smoke and some overcast sky.
Not many hikers, one mountain biker.
Road to trailhead is very good gravel road, part of it recently relocated.
The trail has recently been relocated to the west side of Meadow Ck due to the landslide shown in one of the photos.
(Date of hike: Aug 19, 2012, a very dry summer).
