     Some of you may have read of a grizzly bear mauling near Yellowstone this summer. This happened while we were in the wilderness, and about 5 miles (as the eagle flies) from where we were hiking. But we saw almost no bear sign in the wilderness. 
      The grizzly sow and her 3 offspring (2nd year cubs) were all severely underweight when captured a day after the deadly attacks on the campers.

I sleep with my bear spray beside me, and it is on my belt.
